Texas Lettering Arts Council is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting the lettering arts and related creative disciplines.
The Texas Lettering Arts Council exists to educate adults and children about the history of written language, book arts, and related creative disciplines. The process involves reinforcing literacy and building self esteem while encouraging creativity and imagination.
Our goal is to provide a cost-reduced and/or cost-free educational opportunities to the community.
Our Purpose
The Corporation is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and Texas Tax Code Section 11.18(c)(1), (or the corresponding section of any future United States Internal Revenue Law).
The Texas Lettering Arts Council seeks to educate and train children and adults about the history of written language, handwriting and the calligraphic lettering arts which promotes literacy while building self esteem and encouraging creativity and imagination. The Corporation seeks to provide cost-reduced and/or cost-free educational opportunities to the public and private sectors, while enhancing public awareness, interest and appreciation of the calligraphic lettering arts.
