Have you always wanted to know how to improve your handwriting?
Learning the Italic-Hand gives students an edge on lettering and this form of calligraphy is a great way to express your creativity.

 

Pointed Pen Italic Calligraphy

This class is eight 2-hour sessions which explore the broad-edge calligraphy pen and pointed pen calligraphy.
Class sessions are suitable for intermediate students.

CLASS 1 - SEPT 1
Become familiar with the calligraphic broad-edge pen. Proper angles and pen grip.
Homework: Border treatments. BEG-INT students will use different pens, nib and mediums.

CLASS 2 - SEPT 8
Alphabet lessons - lowercase letters.
Homework: Alphabet necklace. BEG-INT students will use different pens, nib and mediums. 

CLASS 3 - SEPT 15
Uppercase & Punctuation lesson.
Homework: Alphabet sentences. BEG-INT students will pen a quote in a proper layout.

CLASS 4 - SEPT 22
Putting it all together. Spacing. Jogging and variations.

CLASS 5 - SEPT 29
Introduce the Scroll & Brush Marker

CLASS 6 - OCT 6
Become familiar with the pointed pen. Proper angles, pen grip and strokes.

CLASS 7 - OCT 13
Miniscules

CLASS 8 - OCT 20
Majiscules

COST: $210 - online registration payment or $199 by snail mail - or $25 per class.
PLUS supplies and hand-outs fee - $30.

CANCELLATION POLICY
No refunds unless a wait list permits. Sorry, no exceptions. In the event of a cancellation, your class fee will be applied as credit towards another class or classes offered through Texas Lettering Arts Council.
