F A Q
How does this year’s virtual conference work?
The conference will take place over the course of 7 days.
All live-attending students receive a link to view the recorded video of their registered Workshops *through June 1, 2022. Attendees also have the opportunity to pre-order access to viewing additional videos for any Workshop recorded through June 1, 2022.
Full-week attendees also receive discounted rates on mini-classes and additional Workshop recording purchases.
*In the event the Workshop does not meet the minimum requried enrollment, participants make an alternate choice.
When do Workshops begin?
Pre-conference Tune Up and Mini-classes begin July 2nd. Opening day is July 3rd and July 10th has been designated a Technical Make-up day.
How long are the Workshops?
Do I need to make any preparations prior to the start of conference?
As all offerings are virtual, preparing your work area, tools, sound and internet connection (50 Mbps or more is recommended) are the best way to prepare for conference events. Make sure you have the most recent Zoom client update on your device. We recommend using a computer for an optimal learning experience.
How long are Mini-classes and when do they begin?
Can I attend Mini-classes without registering for the week-long conference?
Mini-classes and Tune up Workshops are open to the general public for a fee. There are 2 types of Mini-classes: 90-minute ($45) and 3-hour ($55). You can sign up HERE for Mini-classes. A one-time $25 registration fee applies.
Non-Attendee Workshop Pre-orders
Non-Attendees may pre-order access to Workshop recordings. A one-time registration fee applies. Workshop recordings will be available after July 12, 2021 through June 1, 2022.
Can Workshops be cancelled?
Workshop enrollments are reviewed June 1, 2021. Enrollees will be notified if the Workshop did not meet the required minimum enrollment, then required to make their alternate choice.
In keeping with the International Calligraphy Conference tradition, if a Workshop doesn’t make, an alternate choice is made from the Workshop line up.
In a normal year, registration would have required 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice options.
Full-week Attendees may modify their registration to another Workshop, in addition to having the privilege of access to view the Workshops you sign up for through June 1, 2022.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
Due to the commitment requirements to our Faculty, Registration fees are non-refundable.
Cancellations receive a receipt for donation to Texas Lettering Arts Council, (a 501(c)(3) non profit educational organization) and forfeit SWAG Box delivery.
Balances must be paid at the time of Workshop registration. Allow 4 weeks for over payment processing via paper check. In the event a recording doesn’t render properly, and a make-up session is not possible, participants will be credited for another recording of the same value.
