Graphite Explorations

Description

This course takes you on a wonderful journey with graphite, pencils of many sorts and give you step by step direction into creating unique alphabets, images and page designs that you never would have guessed you could do. Barbara gives front row seats online and share many exciting graphite techniques.

SUPPLIES

– Strathmore Charcoal Paper 300 series – laid finish -9″ x 12″ pad
– Regular #2 Pencil (2H or HB) and a 48 or 68 softer lead
– portable pencil sharpener (or sand paper paddle )
– Mechanical Pencil
– Ruler (12″ C-Thru)
– 1 small pkg. Tortillions (paper stumps) – for shading
– X-acto Knife
– Eraser (white vinyl)
– Watercolor brush #6 with good tip or Bamboo/Sumi 1/4″ brush
– Stickles (for sparkle & enhancements) -OPTIONAL
– Pastels – sticks or Pan Pastels (one-two colors) not oil pastels OR colored pencils
– General’s Layout Compressed graphite sticks (one pkg. 2 sticks)-Extra Black
– OPTIONAL: Tapestry needle & embroidery thread & cover paper-cut to same size as text pages (sturdy, heavier weight i.e. Arches Cover, Stonehenge, Canson or Fabriano if you’d like to create a book for your completed pages
